There is the smallest carpet product intended for key is kept in the museum as well as the largest handmade carpet in the world with the total area of 301 sq/m. The Giant-carpet has been weaved in 2001 and in 2003 it was included in the Guinness Book of Records. In the museum double-sided, pattern type and silk carpets weaved three-four centuries ago are transformed into absolutely new carpets. The restoration of amazingly artistic, durable as well as skilfully weaved old carpets is believed to be very difficult. Here in the museum the experts also carry out the restoration of such carpets, each square metre of which consists of 1,350,000 knots. The museum possesses about 8 thousand specimens of old carpets with numerous patterns, in which about thousand of gols are depicted. At the same time the search for and collection of old carpets is being carried out.
